What The Hell Is Esotericism?
Here's the word for the day "Esotericism."
"What the hell does that mean?"
I'll tell you what it means. It means that people high up the food chain say one thing, but really mean something else. Why do they do this? Because they don't want you to understand they're real intent. Let's be honest, why does anybody Lie?
Thus, we have "Esotericism."
Here's what this really means, at least in political terms--and that is, that it's politically expedient to lie, just as long as you don't get caught. That's where complex language, carefully overlaid with familiar symbols, spoken in a soothing and familiar manor can do a world of good to galvanize support for a politicians ideas. This subterfuge also gives them an out, just in case the rabble start scrutinizing what's really being said. Clear speaking would probably just cause people to puke. So, “Esotericism” is the way to go.
Leaders always need plenty of rabble to rabble-rouse on behalf of their cause, you know.
“Jeepers! I didn't know that's what they called it! I thought they called that “Bullshit.”
Yes. That's what average folk call it. But enlightened folk call it “Esotericism.”
“Esotericism” has been going on since before Socrates. It' still going on today. So, remember, let's not call it lying. Let's call it “Esotericism.” That way we won't really be lying, we just won't be telling the truth. And everyone will be happy.
Believe me, I wouldn't bullshit you, now would I?
