A Tree Falls in Central Park on a Gay Banker
The president of the Sierra Club, one of America’s foremost environmental groups, recently said their mission was a clean environment, support of abortion rights, and laws protecting vulnerable people in the LGBTQ community. Because these were all good things to care about. America’s forests and men who think they’re women, fit into a great big basket of concerns for enlightened people everywhere, I guess.
I know, for instance, when I lost my job and was looking for a place for my family to live (probably under a bridge somewhere) it was little Buffy, who used to be Todd, who is now a boy, but used to be a girl, even though he/she still has a penis, that was my big concern.
No, it wasn’t food and shelter for my tribe of heteronormative girls and boys, it was a tree in Central Park, a Gay banker, with a six figure income and little buffy/Todd that were on my mind, because I care about hurting people, as long as they’re the “Other.” Normal folk, not so much.
It was the 27 year old Muslim male with a smart phone, masquerading as an adolescent refugee, trying to come to America and Europe, in order to bless us with Sharia Law, which also comes to mind. This will probably insure that the real refugees never make it, as the many bad apples spoil the bunch for those most in need. Besides, don’t you know that Christians are worse than the Taliban? How many times have you seen a Lutheran beheading a small child for Jesus? Never? Well, just close your eyes and imagine—and it will become true.
Now, what does this have to do with the Sierra Club? Well, when the president of this auspicious group explained himself, it made more sense. Abortion was good because there were way too many people. So killing babies before they could pollute the planet any further was in everyone’s best interest. Except for the baby, of course. But that was taken care of by calling it a fetus, which was Latin for baby, but nobody knew any better, so it didn’t matter.
The Sierra Club’s new motto should be “People are a Pestilence. Save the earth by killing yourself.” Admittedly, it doesn’t fit easily on a tee shirt, but it’s still catchy, and progressives everywhere could get behind it.
As far as the rest of his concerns, it was more a case of solidarity between the various leftist groups, more than anything else. That’s how you win elections. That, plus catchy slogans like “Abort a baby. Save a whale.” That’s a heck of a moral rallying cry, you’ve got to admit.
It should be obvious, that the subversion of all that is normal, by elevating tiny parts of the population to places of uber-importance, is the game plan. That is path to expanding government’s power over its citizens, all in the name of a good cause, even if that cause is none of the government’s business. It’s not Uncle Sam’s job to micro manage your sexual identity. Neither should Uncle Sam be in the business of subverting families, as has been the case for more than fifty years, by subsidizing fatherless homes thru an ever-growing welfare state. Even a cursory glance at stats involving children raised in fatherless homes, quickly indicates how destructive they are for the culture as a whole. Maybe that’s the point, though.
Personally, I care about equal rights for all, not special rights for a few. I care about a government that serves the interests of its citizens, by keeping the peace, with a free people; Gay, straight or other, as one big part of the American fabric. Not a culture that pretends that humans can’t raise their children without the government, thereby destroying family structures and replacing them with faceless bureaucrats. Or, one that believes that there are 57 varieties of gender (like Heinz ketchup, pour it on and change your identity.) Even ducks and weasels aren’t so instinctively lacking. According to progressives, however, humans can no longer fend for themselves. A fact only discovered in the last half century as government grew exponentially. That, my friends, isn’t charity, it’s a mechanism for control.
Maybe that should be the left’s real slogan; “Help Uncle Sam help you, by helping others who can’t help themselves—all three hundred and twenty million of them—and doesn’t that make you feel better about yourself?”
I just bet it does.
