What Does "Never Trump" Mean?
Every day another conservative rails against Trump. “Trump is crude!” “Trump is rude!” “Trump is dumb!” Meanwhile, Hillary gets away with murder. Literally, it would seem. But, conservatives have a different target. One that’s closer to home. So, when Trump goes down in flames they can say “See, we told you he couldn’t win.” At which point they’ll begin to rebuild the party, moving ever leftward so they can regain some semblance of power. “Perhaps another Bush family member as president,” they wistfully suggest. Yes, a big spending republican that can buy votes just like the democrats—and, if they're lucky, a war or two to drive the numbers.
Who cares if partial birth abortion is celebrated right along with euthanasia as the final frontier for progressives? At which point liberals will control birth, life, and death for an aging population, just in time for baby boomers to get the big payback for a life of self-indulgence and knee-jerk liberalism. This will, no doubt, shorten their life expectancy. But no matter, because “Never Trump” is the preferred slogan, even if costs them their lives.
So, for those who tend to be historically minded, here’s a little history lesson. In WWII America partnered with the Russians and Stalin, as did all of America’s allies. This they did because Hitler was as nasty a prick as ever walked the earth. Not unlike Hillary (Do I need to suggest that the names Hillary and Hitler both start with the letters H and I? Both names also have an L and an R, as well. Coincidence? I don’t think so.) Anyway, Stalin and Hitler started as allies. It was only after Hitler turned on Russia like a rabid dog that Stalin switched sides and became America’s pal.
Now, Roosevelt could’ve said “No way!” But he didn’t, and we should all be glad that he didn’t. Russia’s army stopped the Germans cold in their tracks as Hitler’s troops tried to fight a protracted war in the frozen Russian wasteland, in the dead of winter. Eventually, Hitler’s army ran out of money and materials and was forced to retreat. It was a turning point in the war. One that cost the Russians upwards of 20 million lives. It also significantly helped to save the world.
Here’s the point. In war, you take your allies as they come. If not, there’s a damn good chance you’ll lose the war. So stop the Trump bashing and get on board, or the blood of millions of unborn children and their aging grandparents may very well be on your hands. Do partial birth abortion and Obama Care’s death panels ring a bell? They sure as hell should. Because that’s a very small part of what’s at stake.
