The Tangled Web
So, here we are, more than a year into the Russian collusion investigation, and no evidence of collusion has been found. The former head of the FBI, James Comey said, when he was still the head of the FBI, that the agency found no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia, and he said it under oath. But the media paid it no never mind because they knew Trump was dirty. Or, at least they hoped he was. And, even if he wasn’t, that didn’t stop them from speculating, endlessly, on TV, in print, using smoke signals, Morse code, African log-drumming, carrier pigeon, whatever method could be used, was used, to send out the message that Trump was dirty.
At least once a week, it seemed, another bombshell report would be forthcoming about Trump and Russian spies. The words “Backchannel,” became synonymous with espionage, to the faithful, indicating Trump’s guilt. The Democrat acolytes would say; “What’s he need a back channel for, if he’s not dirty? Huh?” But, if Hill and Bill had back channels, that was OK, because they weren’t Trump’s back channels.
A few days, maybe a week later, the latest bombshell would produce nothing but debris, as it exploded high above the earth, raining down bullshit on the American people. So it didn’t matter if said bombshell was true, it had great propaganda value, regardless.
There were some genuinely troubling back-channels, though. The FBI’s head honcho, James Comey, admitted leaking information to the press, with the expressed purpose of getting a special counsel appointed. That was certainly a back channel. To the press, however, the fact that Comey and the FBI found no evidence of collusion, didn’t mean that Trump wasn’t guilty of something. If not Russian collusion, something, would be good enough, and they’d sure as hell find out what it was, once a special counsel was created, to solve the troubling problem of Russian collusion, which that same FBI said didn’t exist.
J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI’s architect, and the most powerful FBI head in the history of the agency denied the existence of organized crime, back in the 1950’s and 60’s. That is a well-known fact. It’s generally believed that the mob had dirt on Hoover. Probably that Hoover and his lifetime “Roommate,” and 2nd in command at The FBI, Clyde Tolson, were gay. Meaning, Hoover had no choice but deny the mobs existence, even as The Attorney General at the time, Bobby Kennedy, (Hoover’s boss,) was at war with the mob. Hoover undoubtedly had dirt on Bobby and JFK, as he did on just about everyone else in Washington. That’s why Hoover remained in charge at The FBI until his death. No one dared to fire him.
This was the same FBI that harassed Martin Luther King relentlessly, marking King as an enemy of the state. Hoover’s infamous letter to King, urging King to kill himself, was but one small example of the FBI’s politicization before, after, and during Lyndon Johnson’s tenure as president. In reality, Johnson was an old-school, racist, yellow-dog Democrat who eventually saw the light (for political expediency’s sake) and began courting American Blacks, who’d grown influential enough to be a significant voting bloc in Northern states. Meanwhile, Hoover and The FBI kept a close eye on the civil right’s movement’s leaders, as potential communist threats. Politics is seldom ever as pure as history portrays, (or anything close to it.) The recent destruction of Civil War monuments is a sterling example of a political action that exists to create the illusion of meaning, while doing nothing of significance. Such actions are symbolic and designed as a rallying point, an effort to garner votes, not actually deal with problems. That is far harder to do.
But I digress.
There was, until very recently, another troubling back-channel; that being Andrew McCabe, the no. 2 guy at The FBI, who also admitted to leaking to the press. Both Comey and McCabe hated Trump, both were heavily pro-Hillary, and both men leaked to the media, in classic back-channel fashion, regarding possible Russian collusion, in spite of a complete lack of tangible evidence for Russian collusion.
Then there was The Deputy Director of Counter Intelligence for The FBI, Peter Strzok. “Counter Intelligence,” is a euphemism for spying. Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page, leaked to the press, using back-channels. Both Strzok and Page, (Strzok’s mistress,) despised Donald Trump, and colluded, with the 2nd in command at the agency, Andrew McCabe, to undermine Trump, just in case he won. This much is beyond dispute since their actual emails give us their private thoughts on the matter. In response, the media said; “It was just the kind of talk people engage in around the water cooler, every day. The difference is that average Americans don’t control the most powerful domestic law enforcement agency on earth, in reality, the most powerful law enforcement agency in human history.
I guess those back-channels come in handy when you want The FBI, and most of the press, to act as propagandists for your political party.
As if this wasn’t a sufficient number of back-channels, Christopher Steele, an actual British spy, helped to create a fake dossier, loaded with anti-Trump disinformation, and then leaked it to various members of the press, using back-channels. This dossier was used to gain a warrant from The FISA court, in an effort to justify spying on Trump’s people during the campaign. This was done without identifying the actual source of the dossier. Again, this is beyond dispute. The Democrats responded by arguing that the source of the dossier was said to be “political.” Thereby clearly indicating who paid for the dossier, while leaving out little details, such as who that political source was. Namely, the Clintons and The Democratic National Committee.
So unreliable was this dossier that even the virulently anti-trump media wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot pole, wearing a radiation suit. BuzzFeed eventually published it, admitting that the most salacious parts of the dossier were unverifiable. Apparently, there were parts of the dossier which had been verified, such as some of the spelling and punctuation. For the media, that was enough.
Understand something; this is the tip of the corrupt iceberg, regarding deep state activities, including collusion and back-channels, none of which are the product of President Trump or his people.
In other words, if we flip the story on its head, it is the accusers, not the accused, who are guilty of spying, lying to and misdirecting the FISA court, colluding with foreign nationals, who happen to be real spies, and, using The upper echelon of The FBI to leak false information to the press, in an effort to create a series manufactured scandals. This, my people’s, was the basis for a special counsel, headed by another former head of The FBI, and close friend of James Comey, Robert Mueller.
I could go on. But, for now, I’ll leave it there.
