The Left's Contradictory Love Affair with Gays & Muslims
It is a well-known fact that Liberals embrace and endorse homosexuality and gay “rights.” It is also fairly obvious that Liberals also embrace and support Muslims and Islam. This is in perfect contradiction to the fact that Muslims abhor and despise the very same homosexuality that the Left so much adores. The same gay “rights” that the Left screams and fights for in the Western World would be anathema and blasphemy in the Muslim World of which the Left is also so very fond.
The same homosexuals that the Left is so enamored with and encourage in Western society are brutally suppressed and persecuted with extreme prejudice in those same Muslim countries that the Left favors over Western countries. The penalty for homosexual behavior in those Muslim countries is death (yet another thing that the Left abhors so much in Western civilization), yet the Left has nothing to say about its use in their pet Muslim countries where it is used not only against the Left’s favorite “minority” group but also against dissidents and non-Muslim infidels, especially Christians. The Left doesn’t seem to have a problem with the death penalty if it is used in their favored Muslim countries, even if it is used against their favored “minority” group there—yet another contradiction.
In fact, everything about the triangular relationship between the Left, gays, and Muslims is juxtaposed, contradictory, and hypocritical. The question is, why?
First of all, let’s examine the Left’s love affair with ultra-conservative Muslims. This would seem to be utterly impossible, given how socially liberal the Left is and how socially conservative nearly all Muslim societies are. There are two possible answers.
First, Islam is counter to, and some would say, the opposite of Christianity. It is also readily apparent that the Left is extremely hostile to Christians and their religion, and so are Muslims. It is the old adage that the enemy of my enemy must be my friend, even if I disagree with him on nearly every fundamental issue. If Christianity did a tenth of the things Islam does in the name of its religion, it would be despised, denigrated, and persecuted even more than it already is (if that is at all possible), yet when Muslims do those very same things they are celebrated, protected, and worshipped by the Left. Because of its favored status, the Left will tolerate atrocities and perversions, hatred and criminality in Islam and by Muslims that it would never in a million years even for one second tolerate in Christianity and by Christians—which is just one of the infinite number of examples of utter and complete bias, prejudice, bigotry, and hypocrisy by the Left.
This also leads us to the second possibility. Both the Left and Muslims share the same goal—the ultimate defeat and downfall of Western Civilization. They just go about it using different methods. Again, the enemy of my enemy must be my friend. Muslims seek to destroy the West from without, using jihad and terror. The Left seeks to destroy it from within, using subterfuge, infiltration, propagandism, indoctrination, and usurpation in the Culture Wars with the Right. Different tactics, same desired result. Divergence only happens when it comes to what will take the place of Western Civilization, and this is where the hypocrisy and contradiction come into play. Muslim radicals want to create a worldwide caliphate under Sharia law where Islam is the only religion and an Islamic theocracy is the only government. The Left would replace it with their own dystopian version of a One-World government based on Socialist, Communist, Marxist, and Environmental Fascist ideals. This is absurdly despite the fact that Socialism and Communism and all of its varied forms have been nothing but miserable failures in every single instance where they have been tried.

But exactly like the diametrically opposed views of the Left and Muslims on homosexuality and the death penalty, the radical Muslim dream of future world domination would be as anathema and horrific to their Liberal supporters as the Leftist dream of a global Socialist government with no moral constraints would be to the Muslims the Left favors. Liberals themselves, just due to their views and stances, would be a primary target of such a strict, conservative Muslim theocracy. These are two mutually excludable outcomes.
There you have the contradiction, hypocrisy, and, dare we say, stupidity underlying the Left’s embrace of both radical Islam and the homosexual agenda. It is exactly like the two polar opposites of Stalin’s Communist USSR banding together with the Free and Capitalist US to defeat a common enemy in Nazi Germany, only to go to war against each other once the Third Reich was defeated.
But the hatred of the Left for anything and everything Christian leads them to go to bed with their own bitter enemies and philosophical and moral opposites in Islam. In order to destroy the present enemy, Christianity, the Left is willing to go so far as to hypocritically overlook or disregard everything they stand for and embrace Christianity’s enemy in order to bring about their mutual desired goal – the downfall of Western Civilization as we know it.
It reminds me of stories I have read of people who hired mercenaries to defend themselves from neighboring enemies, only to be ultimately conquered by the very same mercenaries they hired to defeat their rivals. Then there are the stories of two disparate groups or peoples who band together to destroy a common enemy, only to fall to infighting among themselves so much so that both of them are eliminated and the foe they thought to conquer by combining forces is the only one left standing.
We can only hope this last alternative will be the result of the Left’s ignorant, contradictory, and utterly hypocritical embrace of Islam that is in direct contravention to their just as passionate love affair with the radical homosexual movement.
