The Demise of the West
England has seen a substantial increase in population growth in a very short time. Better than 60% of that growth is the result of immigration, creating a shortage of housing, which drives up housing costs for everyone. The recent, tragic fire that killed at least 79 people at Grenfell Towers in London, is being blamed on the government’s inaction, regarding this housing crisis. It’s also being called racist. Most of the people living there are minorities.
Like all societies, England has its cultural and economic divide. But, the mass influx of immigrants from the 3rd world, many Muslim, and mostly non White, has opened the country to racial division. And, with it, claims of racism. Previously, England had no real racial issues. England never had slavery, and was largely responsible for ending slavery around much of the world, including parts of Africa, which had, and continues to have, a large thriving slave trade in different parts of that enormous continent.
In other words, a country that had no racial divide, has imported its own racial underclass. Other European countries like France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Brussels have done the same thing, primarily as the result of the European Union. Today, these same countries suffer with terrorist attacks and racial division, in a way that didn’t exist, even a few decades ago.
A primary cause, is Europe’s overly generous welfare state, which enables people to migrate and live without working, creating poorer, ethnic and religious enclaves. What have rightly been called, “No go zones.” Or, places where the police don’t go, unless it’s necessary. The politicians responsible for this, blame bigotry and joblessness as a root cause for civic unrest, rather than be accountable, the result of opening their borders. In Sweden, for instance, the race or ethnicity of a criminal is intentionally withheld by the media, and speech codes restrict free speech should anyone complain. If people complain, anyway, they can be imprisoned for hate speech.
Some of this migration is the result of a genuine desire to help migrants. But, most of it is being driven by the European Union, which has opened borders, for the sake of commerce. It also keeps labor costs low, by increasing competition among unskilled workers.
Migrants, primarily from the Middle East and Africa, make their way from their homeland, to the countries with the largest welfare benefits, for obvious reasons. These migrants tend to be poorer, less educated, and from cultures that are radically different than the place they’ve migrated too.
If they migrated in modest numbers, and, there were no welfare benefits to sustain them, integration would happen by necessity, as it did in the past. But, mass migration, along with welfare, undercuts the need to integrate. This also gives the left a tool to cry racism, wherever racial and ethnic division is most common. And it is most common, wherever the left tends to be in power, creating an unsolvable, circular problem.
More than likely, this is only the beginning of Europe’s troubles. It will be America’s fate, as well, if the far left wins, even more so than it already is. This realignment of the world is not motivated by charity, although that is illusion created for the public. It is about money and power— free trade, which isn’t really free—and a world without borders, comprised of people scrambling for whatever scraps fall from their master’s table.
Now, if anyone should find what I’ve just written offensive, no worries, just scream racism, and all debate will shut down, which is the intent. If that doesn’t work, just wait, the 1st amendment will be rewritten or redefined. And if that doesn’t work, there are always prisons. That’s the direction Europe is taking. It will be America’s direction as well. As the result, in ten years time, you won’t even recognize the place.
