                 Terror in France

Picture
There is a profound disconnect between reality and the thoughts that appear to occupy that space between some people's ears.

For instance, radical Muslims murder civilians on literally every continent in the world except, maybe, Antarctica. And, you can bet, if there was some modest civilization in that inhospitable place, radical Muslims would be there engaging in mass slaughter as well.

But, no matter, because less than 48 hours after one more in a long string of Murderous attacks—this one in France, leaving more than 80 people dead and 150 wounded—progressives begin to do, what they do best, they apologize. For what? You might ask. For any negative statement, that they may have heard about Muslims in the wake of the most recent Islamist atrocity.

For progressives, this is proof positive that heinous non-Muslims are as bigoted and bad as any Islamic fundamentalist driving through a crowd of civilians with a truck, an Ak47 and a cache of grenades. After all, words can wound. And then they tell a story about some poor Muslim woman wearing a hajib who got a funny look from somebody while shopping at Kmart.

“My god, will the hate never end?” They ask breathlessly.

Within a day, maybe less, the original act of mass murder by Muslim madmen is largely forgotten as liberal critics unanimously blame America, Israel, colonialism and anything or anyone else that they can conceive of—except Islam. It doesn’t matter if the attack was in France or Turkey, Africa or China or somewhere else in the world. The same handful excuses are recycled, regardless of circumstance, even when it’s Muslims murdering Muslims, which tends to be the case, more often than not.

Here’s my theory, the self-loathing that some people seem to feel, they project onto their fellow man. This is always preferable to being accountable as an individual. Meaning, they transfer their self-hatred to that abstraction called society. This makes everyone else their personal scapegoat. So, whatever evil is committed against Americans, can be justified by quickly shifting the attention away from the perpetrator, back to the victim. It’s variation of a rape victim having enticed their rape by being provocative, as is the case in Sweden, which now has become the rape capital of Europe due to Mass Muslim migration, with Germany following close behind.

Recently the president and attorney general talked about criminalizing hate speech against Allah’s chosen. This came shortly after one of the numerous terror attacks, committed by Muslims against innocent Americans. In other words, Muslims murder Americans of all races, but it’s Muslims that need protection, not Americans, because Muslims are a minority group. The one thing that all such “Minority” groups share, according to the progressive mind, is their victimhood at the hands of an evil White, patriarchal culture. Make no mistake, this is precisely what Barack Obama believes, having written and spoken openly about America’s backward racial and patriarchal traditions before he was president.

To justify this theology, liberals offer a handful of loosely strung together talking points in an effort to create a semi-coherent world-view. If they have to subvert the constitution and deprive every other American of their rights in the process, that’s an acceptable price to pay.

All of this relies on the naivete and ignorance of their supporters who think that good intentions justify bad policy. Or, more reasonably, their core of support has simply been hoodwinked and bamboozled by the Left’s rhetoric and just don’t know any better.

And with that, their minds are set. As unmovable as granite—and twice as thick.
