                 Satan's Jr. High

“Satan’s Jr. High” chapter one: by Franz KaKa

“That is American politics, more reasonably…."Satan’s Jr. High!” Joseph K thought. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is Morse code spoken and written for the zombies, barely detectable by a most rational mind—and just barely audible to even an Einstein-like intellect.

“But then, the veil is pulled back, and Satan’s handiwork is revealed.”

“Clearly, they are all in on it.” K reasoned. “Playing out this sleight of hand, this theater of the absurd, all for our digestion. Waiting for Godot has nothing on these succubi…..who Will to Power. K shouted, but only in his mind.

“Could things be worse?” K wondered. “Yes,” he muttered under his breath. A lot worse. Because he knew that this was only the beginning. So he began to scribble on an empty piece of paper…."3 truths about American politics"….to try and make sense of it all. To quell the nightmare taking shape in his head.

Here are the 3:

1. The two parties, really are in opposition to one another, like warring brothers, hellbent on destroying one another. Mutually assured destruction. But it’s all theater. The kind of thing that ole Will Shakespeare wrote plenty about.

2. The 2 parties really do have different governing philosophies, but the same end, to be elected, then stay elected, over and over again. Groundhog day come to life, only in political terms. But one thing was sure…. “Go in poor. Come out rich as hell.” This slogan inevitably became their personal mantra. A final collective mind-blast to the masses.

3. “We The People,” we are in control, even if we don’t seem to know it.

“But why don’t we know it? That is the question. That is the key. Right?” K wondered. “Control The People, who are in control. Do this thru lies and disinformation, and then shape the news and education to fit their politically motivated version of reality. If you can do that, you’re in like Flynn. Or, is it Flint, who is in?” Even this question seemed unwieldy, given the pressure mounting in K’s frontal lobe.

“Since these 3 things appear to be true, it must be that “We The People” are being suckered with a stream of incessant distortions and bullshit. A damned river of lies and slander! This slanderous facsimile of reality is then hurled at the speed of light, like a breaking slider thrown by Sandy Koufax at his freaking best! Possibly, with a bionic arm.” K wrote, as he continued this line of thought.

Inside, however, he knew that his Sandy Koufax analogy was too old-school, like Fred Sanford or Archie Bunker reborn, thus alienating to a younger audience—who couldn’t think past 5 years—under the best of circumstances—but he didn’t care. “It’s my damned analogy!” he pondered. “I’ll do what I want.” But even this meager thought intensified the pressure in his head, pounding, throbbing, blackening his mood until he could take it no longer.

“I better find my way back to the flat, where the windows are shuttered, and no light can break….then I’ll sleep the sleep of angels and devils, preparing for my war against…..

“Satan’s Jr. High!”
