Roy Moore: Serial Pervert?
Roy Moore: Serial Pervert?
Roy Moore is a serial pervert. Even worse, he's a Republican. If not for that, Roy Moore would qualify as an average Democrat. In which case, no one in the press would say a thing. In fact, it'd probably be seen as an asset. "Monogamy is for old-school conservatives who believe in god! Shmucks!"
Not for the enlightened atheist, transgender men/women/???
The past is the past. And, even if it isn't past, it soon will be, as statues are torn down, free speech is abridged, and the word normal, no longer means normal.
It seems that every half hour or so, a new accusation is made against Roy Moore, by one more unverifiable source. But, where there is smoke, there is clearly fire. Not in the case of Bill Clinton, who used to produce his weasel and ask women to touch it...."Please, touch it!" If the women declined, Bill would allegedly put the trouser snake back in its cage, for the next unsuspecting victim. Gloria Steinham, feminist standard-bearer, determined that Bill's actions didn't constitute sexual harassment. Because he took "No" for an answer. Thank god for feminist Democrats.
I'm not making excuses for Roy Moore. It should surprise no one, however, that this comes on the cusp of an important senate race.
Democrats tend to understand this kind of warfare much better than Conservatives. Just a few months back, liberals were having an internal, but a very public conversation about pedophilia, which they were sympathetic too. The New York Times published a piece written by a confessed pedophile, who said he just liked to fantasize about a beautiful young princess (In a completely wholesome way, of course.) He then finished with, "But at least I'm not a Republican!" The letters page was filled with agreement. Pedophilia was OK when compared with Republicans. (Admittedly, it might have been The Huff Po that published the article, there's little difference nowadays when it comes to mainstream media.)
What about the Democrat senator who is currently on trial for being involved in an illegal immigrant, underage hooker ring, both as an investor and gleeful partaker of underage goods. Plus, a few other serious charges.
"Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., has been on trial for 18 counts of bribery, fraud, and corruption involving nearly $1 million in gifts and donations."
The official response from the press was "Huh?"
This is par for the course, when it comes Democrat scandals, which are never actual scandals but are the product of rightwing conspiracists, looking to take down the noble friends of the poor and downtrodden.
Let me say that if Roy Moore is guilty, he needs to step down. But the timing is more than suspicious. It is obvious. In such instances, the mainstream press is like the guy who got caught with a hundred pounds of cocaine, who says he just happened to find it, neatly packaged inside his apartment, of all places but had no idea where it came from.
"It must be a rightwing conspiracy!" he says. And then the liberal judge responds with, "That sounds about right! Now, let's go get those rightwing bastards!"
That is America today, living in a post-Obama world.
