On This Cold Winter's Morn
On This Cold Winter’s Morn
When I woke up today, it was at least, 1000 degrees below zero. That’s cold for anywhere, but especially, South Florida. It was then that I cried out “Lord, Lord, why hast though, forsaken me, with this brutally cold weather, which is at least, 1000 degrees below zero?”
After a pause, the Lord spoke unto me and said; “A 1000 degrees below zero, huh? That’s a bit of an exaggeration, don’t you think? Maybe, it’s 40 degrees outside. By midday, it’ll be in the fifties. In a day or two, you’ll be at the beach again. So, stop complaining.” Then he continued; “Let me tell you what real cold feels like. Imagine that Hillary Clinton had won, and my man, Donald Trump, wasn’t the president? Now, that’s cold, brother!” And then we laughed, and I knew that God was in his heaven.
What’s the moral of this story? It may feel as cold as a witches tit outside, but let me tell you, it’d be a whole lot colder if the witch had won. And, it couldn’t get much colder than that!
Amen!
