       Oblivious But Concerned

Oblivious but Concerned

A caravan of thousands of migrants is headed for the American border, just as they had a few years back when more than a hundred thousand "Children" from Central America came, during the Obama administration. Obama knew they were coming and began making preparations to receive them months in advance. The media, at the time, tried to blame the Bush administration for this "Surprise" invasion. In spite of the fact that Bush had been out of the White House for nearly six years.

Where are those "Children" today?

Who knows? The media simply stopped reporting, once it became clear that Obama and crew were behind it.

Yesterday, President Trump stopped a similar, if smaller caravan, which, was being facilitated by the government of Mexico, as was the case years earlier. Mexico stringently protects its border from the rest of Central America, for obvious reasons, they have enough poverty already, so importing more, serves no one’s interests, certainly not the poor in Mexico.

Here’s my guess as to who’s behind this: a combination of open borders advocates, including big business, who want the cheap labor. Progressives, who can claim to be concerned about the poor, regardless of borders, but really want voters they can buy off with entitlements, paid for by working Americans. And, old-fashioned Democrats, who’ve abandoned the working class and need a substitute. If they don’t grow their base, they’ll increasingly be marginalized in national elections. Unfortunately, a good many Republicans are no different.

In response, the press talk about Trump’s hatred of Brown people, as his motive. They have no other choice but to play the race card. You’d think that people would catch on. And, some do, with the exception of the hardcore voting base that views themselves as standing above the fray, comprised of media types and other oligarchs, who don’t seem to know they’re oligarchs. The U.S. already has the 3rd largest population on earth. With another 7.2 billion people in the world, what is our obligation? This should be an obvious question.

What about over-population and the demand for lower birth rates, because of “Global Warming?” Again, for climate change advocates, this should be a no-brainer.

“Huh?” Appears to be the common response by run-of-the-mill liberals, who never, ever, put 2+2 together, so blinded are they, by their own self-righteousness. I’m not surprised. As a last resort, they’ll quote The Statue of Liberty—that great symbol of freedom—co-opted by progressives and turned into a convenient immigration meme, justifying their advocacy for bigger profits for the few, and growing poverty for the many. Their leaders know this is their true motive, even if the run-of-the-mill soldiers in The Democratic party are oblivious, which should be The Democratic Party’s new slogan “Oblivious but Concerned.”

Concerned about what?

Mostly, getting elected.

Once they’ve been elected?

Increase their power.

Past that, everything’s gravy.
