Muslim No-Go Zones - Myth or Reality
"What's the difference between a member of KKK committing a terrorist act and a radical Muslim? A few hundred million supporters who control staggering wealth and armies with deadly biological weapons. Past that, nothing much."
Do Muslim no-go zones exist in Europe? A few weeks back Donald J. Trump spoke about them, saying that these were places that the police were afraid to go. Immediately, the worldwide press leaped on The Donald for his ignorance and bigotry. In response, film crews went forth and filmed happy Muslims warmly welcoming folks into their neighborhoods, which according to the press don't exist, but you're welcome there anyway.
Now, this wasn't the first time that I was made aware of these self-segregating, Islamic enclaves since they've been written about frequently for more than a decade, just not in the mainstream press, which only tends to talk about an issue that's a guaranteed ratings-grabber. Otherwise, they simply ignore it, as they do with so many other issues, even those of genuine importance.
Ethnic enclaves are hardly new. Little Haiti and Little Havana in Miami are tourist attractions and places that I regularly hang. That would be but two examples among thousands of others around the U.S. and elsewhere in the world. Chinatown, in New York, would be another example. Muslim no-go zones, however, are different, at least in part, and here's why. Belgium was recently in the news after the terrorist attacks in Paris. The startling reality is, that Belgium is no longer famous just for its waffles or chocolates but for also being THE hotbed of Islamic terrorism in Europe, having directly bred the radicals that acted in the Paris slaughter. A fact that is now admitted by everyone, even by the most politically correct among us. But, only once it was forced by the horrific murder of 130 people and the wounding of dozens more. Prior to that, no one talked about it. No one in the mainstream, that is.
Not to be outdone by their European neighbors, Sweden has become the rape capital of Europe for similar reasons. This will be denied by most Swedish officials, and anyone who says otherwise will be prosecuted for hate speech crimes by the Swedish government. In spite of this, there is an abundance of video powerfully reinforcing Sweden's newfound status that slips out as the result of the internet's global reach. The fact that such speech is criminalized throughout Europe and Canada should indicate just how corrupt politics has become in both places. The U.S. is quickly following suit with a few states investigating special protections for Muslims against perceived hate speech.
Finally, Europe has long admired and courted fascist totalitarian regimes, all of which, originated as Leftist movements, contrary to popular myth. WWII, with it's staggering death toll of 80,000,000 dead with another 100,000,000 killed in Europe and Asia during peacetime, should be a constant reminder of just how corrupt human nature can be. This is especially true once the restraints of self-government are removed and the levers of power fall into the hands of few enlightened leaders.
However, all of this can easily be ignored or completely disregarded as a racist fantasy, concocted by rightwingers like Donald Trump as an act of bigotry. The evidence is there, and it is abundant, but like most things, if you don't want to see it, it can readily be ignored. And, unfortunately, probably will be.
