Malicious Intent and the Art of the Microaggression
If you're a business or property owner in New York City and you make the mistake of calling a transgender person by the wrong title, "He" when it should be "She," or maybe, the new term, "Zhe" which means some combination thereof, you may be fined $250,000 for your verbal insensitivity, especially if you were willful and malicious in your intent.
I can hear it now.
"Come on! I could see the micro-aggression on the waiter's face when he said, "Hey buddy, you want cheese on that hamburger?" I know he willfully and maliciously said that because I'm a woman who just happens to have a penis and testicles. So, in response, I immediately filed a lawsuit for $2,000,000 against Joes Burger Shack out on route 21 in Saskatoon Illinois."
What can I say, if you want lawyers filing suits like a haberdasher making uniforms for the military, just establish a series of completely subjective legal criteria (which is what's happening) and watch the government grow, taxes demands explode, and lawsuits clog the courts. The result; jobs will shut down for fear of legal ramifications and sky-rocketing costs, which will increase unemployment well beyond the 93,000, 000 Americans who're currently out of the labor force. No worries, though, because everyone in the media will basically lie about what's really happening, so it won't be real, even if you can't find a job and are living in a box just off the freeway.
Grow up America.
