Hollywood and Scumbags
Hollywood and Scumbags
So, Hollywood super-mogul, Harvey Weinstein, is a scumbag's scumbag. Rape, sexual harassment, threats of violence as regular as drops of rain, career-killing retaliations against non-compliant women, probably men, as well - and, what do we find, but some of Hollywood's biggest actors and filmmakers running interference for this creep.
This wealthy, entitled group of Hollywood rape-enablers turned a blind eye to Weinstein's scumbaggery for decades, as long as they could be bought off with a meaty role and a bit of hype. As the result, they let Weinstein get away with just about everything but murder, for a career-helping hand up.
Am I surprised? Not even a little.
Hollywood, home to the mega-wealthy, the bad and the beautiful, is about as normal as the Roman aristocracy indulging in multi-day orgies of gluttony and sex, then vomiting and returning to wallow with the rest of the swine. The only thing wrong with this comparison is that swine are swine, so when they behave like swine, no one should bat an eye. My dog, for instance, likes to sniff poop, because dogs interpret the world through their sense of smell. But, when Hollywood sniffs poop, they're really just sniffing poop, there is no deeper motive, but a love of poop.
Why are so many of these elite power-players swine? Because they transcended the boundaries of normal society, becoming god-like. Human beings were not meant to be god-like. Turn an animal into a god, and you've got a rutting warthog with large tusks and big brain as a deity. Should we be surprised, then, that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely? I don't think so.
This will mean little to people who believe the word "Normal" is code for the cattle who need be led to the slaughter while picking their pockets for spare change. That's what politicians do, better than even Hollywood. It's why the more power politicians have, the less freedom and power the people have. The founding fathers, those genius son-of-a-bitches, understood this.
But, nowadays, people say "I believe the government can be used for good!" So, by all means, give them the power to do good. But only the ones we like. The others? They can't be trusted.
You'd think these enlightened souls would see a problem with this kind of thinking, being that once an institution is given that kind of power, whoever runs the institution will have that power, as well, whether you voted for them or not.
Academy Award winners Meryl Streep, Matter Damon, Ben Affleck, and Whoopi Goldberg lectured America for being a bunch of dumbasses for voting for Donald Trump, that misogynist creep. Only to ignore Harvey Weinstein's relentless sexist thuggery. They even covered for the man. "Remember, don't do as we do, do as we say, because we're better looking, richer, smarter, and we're famous, what else do you need to just ignore our actions while keeping the cash flowing into our bank accounts."
When all else fails, these same moral reprobates will ask for your definition of normal. This does not represent an interest in linguistics, mind you. It's a way of questioning normalcy, so normalcy can be dispensed with as a barrier to maximizing the cash-flow. And the quickest way to a maximization of cash-flow is through appealing to the basest of human/animal instincts.
Adultery? - Don't be a prude.
Sexualizing children? - Don't be a prude.
Marriage? - An outdated institution. And, by the way, don't be a prude.
Criminals as heroes? - Who's to say who's a criminal?
Evangelical Christians, the same as ISIS? - You bet!
As if that weren't enough, pedophilia is alleged to be rampant in Hollywood, and not a little rampant, but rampant with a capital R. The list of well-known, former child actors who verify this, is long and growing longer by the day. Meanwhile, the mainstream press ignores these allegations and, instead, point to the time Donald Trump ate steak with ketchup. It should be obvious, there's a reason why Hollywood and the far left are allied. This unholy alliance transcends mere politics, however. It transcends political parties, too, going straight to the heart of the matter - the love of power corrupts - and the love of money is evil. It's when you follow the two towards their logical conclusion that you'll find the heart of the matter.
