                Believe Nothing

Believe Nothing

Whatever the GOP tax bill, it will lead to death and poverty. This will be written and talked about endlessly by people who know nothing about taxes or business. But, they will be deeply concerned, nonetheless. They will sit and look furtively at the camera as they contemplate the carnage that Trump’s plan will have on human decency. They will say that Jesus, of all people, is outraged! They know this as the result of their deep commitment to a godless universe and an all-powerful state, which, Jesus is in favor of. And then they will never, ever again, mention Jesus, except to snicker at dummies who believe in religion.

Meanwhile, they're all for science, when it agrees with them. But only then. Otherwise, human sexuality and gender can be based on the faith that men can be women, just by believing they are. Much like a person who believes they’re fat but is starving to death as the result of bulimia. Who’s to say what fat is and isn’t anyway—and then they thank the godless universe for postmodernism—because it’s really handy when you want to discredit reality and sound smart doing it.

Furthermore, unless you’re for unfettered immigration, you’re a bigot, homophobe, transphobe, rightwing, White supremacist, Republican. Which is basically, the same thing, so says a 22-year-old “Writer” for BuzzFeed or The Huff Po. Clearly, their age and wisdom give them insight into the human condition.

“Trump has done nothing!” they’ll say. “And whatever he has done, was actually done by Barack Obama. So there!” Liberals will then nod in agreement. To do otherwise would lead to a cognitive meltdown, causing them to contemplate the possibility that Republicans might actually be right, even if establishment Republicans only pay lip service to these ideas.

This is the problem both Republicans and Democrats have with Trump. The son-of-a-bitch seems to not only believe this stuff, he’s willing to act with a complete disregard for the Ponzi schemes offered by both parties.

“How the hell are we supposed to get rich, feeding off the government teat, like this!!?” they say in outrage.

Meanwhile, women come out of the closet blaming Republicans for sexual abuse and hypocrisy. This predictably happens on cue, during a heated race, for a much-coveted senate seat. After all, the Democrats have basically been trounced in The House, The Senate, The Presidency, in most Governorships around the country, which can mean only one thing, call Gloria Allred, protector of women, and serial rape-accuser-for-hire. There’s nothing like a 40-year-old crime, based solely on anecdote, as a weapon to be used against your enemies. Plus, let’s not forget the apparently forged signature, in a decades-old yearbook. Now, that’s justice! However, even if Roy Moore wins (and it looks like he will) this gives liberals the high ground, enabling them to call all 60 million Republicans rapists and child molesters, taking the heat off of Hollywood liberals, who are actually raping women and molesting children on a daily basis. You have to priorities, you know.

And the mainstream press wonders why Americans find them vile and disgusting, only slightly lower than the disregard they have for politicians?
