Belgium or Turkey.  Which One is Worse?

Picture
How do you fool a fool into being even more foolish? Here's how. A few days ago there was a major terror attack in Turkey, which is a predominantly Muslim country. The media remained mostly silent about the attack, but some (including myself) wrote about it as one more horrific case of Muslims killing Muslims. There were a couple of Jews killed as well. Overall, the media said little. It is my belief that their silence was motivated by a desire to not impugn the character of Muslims any more than is necessary. After all, it's hard to maintain the theory that Muslims are simply responding to American hegemony or Israel's occupation of Gaza if other Muslims are the primary target, which is, more often than not, the case.

The terror attack in Belgium, a predominantly Caucasian country, gained far more coverage. The left, being the repugnant racists and apologists for radical Islam that they are, saw it differently, however. They saw it as clear proof of anti-Islamic racism and White bigotry. Apparently, Europeans are only concerned when it's Europeans being killed. According to this theory, even when Europeans are the victims, they are really just victimizing themselves. The chickens have simply come home to roost. How else could it be explained? Here's how.

Belgium is a European country whose traditions are Anglo/Christian. At least, that was the case until relatively recently. And, suicide bombers shouting Allahu Akbar while murdering men, women and children are not a part of their, or our, tradition. So, when it happens, it's news. Leftists, however, see everything through the prism of race, class and Marxist theory. Meaning, that every scenario can be shaped to fit their narrative. Print the story and focus on Muslims killing Muslims and you're a racist. Don't print the story, and you're still a racist. Suggest that mass migration by Muslims may not be a good idea, and you're a racist. Offer seamless proof that radical Islam is a threat to the West, and you're a racist. The only thing that is allowed is the acceptance that you're a racist, responsible for all bad thing no matter who is actually responsible. And, to say otherwise makes you a racist.

Let me say, that there are many fine liberals, but Leftists are another matter altogether. They are a wellspring of poison and infinitely malleable in their ability to twist the truth. They are also purveyors and provocateurs of mayhem and division wherever they go. In response to any recent horrific event, all that's needed is to remind people of the Crusades. If that doesn't do it selective facts about slavery will do the rest. Don't let anyone, tell you otherwise.
