A Few Thoughts on a Few Things

Picture
Ben Carson says he'd use drones to watch the border, as in surveillance, to keep an eye on and to monitor. Are we clear? He then says "But, you know what? Reporters will say "Carson wants to use Drones strikes to kill people on the border." And, not surprisingly, that's exactly what some reporters do, including major outlets like CNN. Then, the smaller news carriers pick it up and circulate it through the American bloodstream like blood cells carrying oxygen.

Here's the thing, our borders are essentially wide open. We have released more than 100,000 illegal alien into our cities, including murderers, thieves and drug dealers. We've done this knowingly, mind you. We've also consciously imported underage illegals from Central America by the tens of thousands, maybe the hundreds of thousands. And, yet, the media is, for the most part, silent. Instead, they report every tick and every cough, take every word and construe its meaning to serve their first agenda, which is ratings and advertising dollars. Their second agenda is to serve their political ideology whenever possible, which is nearly constant.

Trump's hair, Carson murderous intent, Jeb's indecision drive news cycles, while Hillary is asked nothing that is meaningful, for fear she might stumble. That is fair and balanced as we've come to define it. Where is the proportional outrage? Apparently, buried beneath layers of nonsense and misdirected concerns. It is America coming apart at the seams.

What is the difference between an individual lunatic and an army of lunatics? Here's what. A crazed man identifying himself as christian walks into an abortion clinic armed to the to teeth and ready to kill. Thankfully, he is taken down and stopped. No one anywhere applauds his actions, certainly not other Christians who represent the largest religion on earth. By comparison, a radical Muslim man walks into wherever, and begins killing people. What is the response? Some Muslims call it what it is, intolerable murder and mourn the tragedy. Still, others, numbering in the hundreds of millions applaud. There are between 180 and 320 million would-be Jihadist Muslims in the world. Another couple of hundred million on top of that are sympathetic to the murderers. What is the difference between the two killers? They both may be terrorists, but, if you can't tell the difference, you are either an idiot or so misinformed that the difference is negligible. That is America under Obama.

The stock market lost 1000 points today. But, it regained about half of those losses. Unfortunately, that's not all. China's stock market is likewise sinking like a stone. And, since Americans rely on China to invest in our economy--as China goes, so goes the U.S.--at least in part.

Why is this happening? Because both markets were propped up with a lot of easy money financial wrangling, brought on by central banks in collusion with their Federal or central governments. Think of it like a family who has so much credit card debt, the only way they can hope to pay it back, is to borrow even more money, using credit cards to pay for credit cards.

Let's be clear, this is not capitalism, although, lot's of folks will try and blame Wall Street. Blaming Wall Street for being Wall Street is like blaming a shark for biting you in the ass, because you went swimming in the middle of a feeding frenzy, though.

No, this crisis was engendered by politicians on the Left and the Right, both here and in China. The idea that you can borrow and spend your way out of financial crisis is no different than saying "Hey honey, I lost my job, let's celebrate and run up all our credit cards to the max. That'll probably to get me a job." Sure it will....and if you believe that, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.......
