Everyday, it seems, a new “Populist” movement of the people, by the people, erupts somewhere in the Western world, splintering already fractured cultures even further. On one side is the working class, not just blue collar, but plumbers, laborers, and office workers, who are angry at being lied to, day and night by the mainstream press who shill for politicians and the super rich—the nuevo-oligarchs that masquerade as concerned citizens. The mask never really fit, though. But as long as things were copacetic, the people remained silent. No longer.
The massive protest in France over President Macron’s gas tax—his climate change tax—will increase fuel costs, causing higher prices across the board for damned-well everything. The cost of a gallon of gas throughout most of Europe is already more than double what we pay in the U.S... Adding even more taxes at a time when fuel prices are low, is equivalent to giving a person a raise, and then taking it back by raising their taxes even further. In other words, one foot forward, two feet back, is the predictable political norm. The working class aren't taking it anymore, and it isn't just gas taxes, either. It’s mass immigration, massive growth of unaccountable, unelected bureaucracies, massive taxation, all foisted on the people by the European Union and their political cronies who've sold out their own people for 30 pieces of heavily inflated silver.
The French people recognize that when gas prices rise again—and they will—they’ll be stuck eating Spam and hitchhiking to work. If they have a job to hitchhike to. That is why the French protesters could be heard shouting “We want Trump!” Although, the nuevo-oligarchs in the U.S. tried mightily to censor that fact, for the same reasons that they lie continually here, as well.
Meanwhile, in the U.S., twin Satan’s, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, hit the road like a pair of depression era vaudeville acts, as Barack tries to convince his faithful audience that he, and not Trump, is responsible for a booming economy and low gas prices. Of course, he’s lying. He’s not merely mistaken. He is outright lying. Because he knows that the mainstream media will echo his lie and, because he knows that a fair portion of the population is clueless about such matters.
These are “The Clueless Ones.” They can read an article and regurgitate its facts, while being as clueless as a doorknob about why those “Facts” may or may not be factual. It's the difference between understanding and memorization.
High taxes, heavy regulation, government control of our economy, of industry, are all about as un-American as a hammer and sickle superimposed on an American flag. But “The Clueless Ones” don’t seem to know, even this much. So, they scream about “Nationalism.” “Socialism.” “Populism.” Any ism that might be used to misdirect enough of their audience to win elections, including voter fraud, etc…
I could go on. But the people who need to know, never will, so dedicated are they to their political theology, they’d rather mankind burn than admit they are clueless. All the nuevo-oligarchs have to do is say meaningful sounding things, most of which are devoid of meaning. These are the values of a clueless voting bloc, just tell them a good story, and they believe.
They are "The Faithfully Befuddled."
Not the French protesters in yellow vests, whose numbers are growing, as are other rebellions around the world, but the government regulated, corporate-funded media.
Meanwhile, the politicians who blithely betray their people are modern day versions of Jezebel and Ahab, inviting the prophets of Baal into the Kingdom of God.
Until two years ago, they've managed to get away with it. But no longer.
